These Terms govern your use of the Bijou iOS app and related sites. Please read them carefully before using Bijou.
Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bijou mobile application, related services, and websites we operate (collectively, the “Services”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Eligibility
Bijou is intended solely for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Services.
You may not use the Services if you have been previously removed or banned from Bijou.
Your account
You sign in to Bijou with your phone number. You are responsible for maintaining access to that phone number and for all activity under your account.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person, impersonate anyone, or use a false identity. Notify us at support@meetbijou.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
User conduct and content
You are responsible for your content and interactions on Bijou, including photos, messages, voice inputs, and profile information. You agree not to harass others, post illegal or exploitative content, solicit money or passwords, spam, scrape the service, or circumvent safety tools.
Dating safety
Bijou does not conduct criminal background checks unless explicitly stated in the app. You are responsible for your interactions with other users, including any meeting offline. Meet in public places. Report suspicious behavior in the app or at support@meetbijou.com.
AI features
AI is part of bijou. We may use parts of your profile, messages, or voice to generate a reply or insight. AI outputs can be wrong and are not professional advice. You remain responsible for what you send.
Purchases
Bijou sells consumable in-app currency (“bijou”) as Apple In-App Purchases. Apple processes payment. We receive a transaction identifier and credit your in-app balance. We do not collect or store your full payment card number.
This version does not offer subscriptions or auto-renewing plans. Consumable bijou packs can be purchased more than once. They are used in the app for features such as boosts, gifts, and extra plays.
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency by Apple. Payment, billing, and refund requests for In-App Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. If a purchase is refunded or revoked by Apple, we may remove the corresponding bijou from your balance.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app: Settings → tap your photo (“Manage account”) → Delete Account. You can also email support@meetbijou.com.
Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded Bijou from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Bijou only, not Apple. Bijou is responsible for the Services. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The Services are provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bijou is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
